Personal Perspective on Therapy
My experience encompasses a wide variety of clients, particularly those from minority cultural and ethnic communities. I specialize in working with individuals, couples, and families facing complex emotional, codependency, addiction, and marital challenges, focusing on therapy as a means of embracing new and different perspectives.
Approach to Therapy
My approach focuses on how deep suffering fragments our sense of self and relationships, acknowledging the influence of both conscious and subconscious family-of-origin patterns and traumas. By emphasizing self-perception and inner dialogue, I guide clients towards embracing new and different ways of thinking and relating. This process is instrumental in helping them discover and heal their fragmented selves.
Expected Growth/Change from Therapy
Therapy fosters social-emotional growth, guiding clients towards forming new and different relationships and a new attachment style. By shifting from patterns of insecurity, anxiety, or avoidance to those that are integrated, resilient, and engaged, therapy encourages not just cognitive understanding but also behavioral change and personal growth.
